Isaiah 6:1 and the Holy Name

  1. Lord, as far as heaven is concerned (not earth), translates the Hebrew YHWH, ADON, ADONAI. If Jesus is from heaven, He is, therefore, YHWH, ADON, ADONAI.

    1. God's Holy Name, often represented in English with a transliteration of the four letters of its ancient Hebrew as YHWH, does not "translate" as "Lord". The verb representing the Holy Name does not mean "Lord." What has happened is that the Holy Name has been changed to "Lord" or "the Lord," or in a some places to "God". In reality none of these English words mean the same thing as the verb representing the Holy Name.
